How to restore .qbx copy in QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions 16.0?

A QBX file is associate accountant’s transfer copy of a QuickBooks company file. If a client has sent you a QBX file, you can not use it till you either convert it to a “regular” accountant’s copy file (QBA) or a company file (QBW). you'll be able to only open or convert files saved within the current version of QuickBooks or the year previous. A company file in this format can not be changed except for adding journal notes.
You cannot open the QBX file, If your version of QuickBooks (2012) is older than your client's version of QuickBooks. If your client used QB 2013 desktop, you cannot open it with QB 2012. You need to upgrade your QB. For more information about this Contact QuickBooks Online Support.
